Second skin to wear, the jewel has always been had the function to decorate a body, to symbolize it.
The present age has ratify different way to present (describe) it, although
in the collective symbolic image inventory is a unique object because it maked with noble matirial, like gold, silver and precious stone, matched with wise workmanship:
new lines, unpublished ideas, especially for the use of matirial and for its
workmanship, that give life to non conventional shapes for plasticity, wefts, colours, texture, tact.
Jewels that describes old approach through a contemporary aesthetics, where the preciousness is principally relate to project (idea) and creative act of designer that maked it.
Atypical matirials, often ‘poor’ or recycling, with absolute potentiality, vivid and dynamic, like paper, iron, coal, the last generation alloys, sometimes wisely matched with coral, filigree, little mosaic, montel, gold, silver, give life to lavshly heterogeneus creations, placed between art and desing: little sculptures, ingenious work of wise hands that combines different part, ones of a kinds (unique article) or in a limited circulation, fruit of individual creative path.
2nd skin is an event devoted to jewels, that will consider 30 designers like protagonists, selected among the most interesting of the contemporary overview. A show/fair, equipped according to the subject influences, setted in an unusual context: the seventeenth century’s main floor of Palazzo Bertalazone in San Fermo.
An airy and poetic room (space), fraught of atmosphere, where the designer will immerse theme creations, introducing and selling them to the public, acquiring new contacts and establishing a relationship.
