The noble floor

The almost 1000 squared metre noble floor of the building has four different entries: from the middle courtyard, the grand staircase of honour on the right side, the stairs with the lift on the left side, a front one and the back-stairs in the second courtyard.

As you can see from the outside, across big windows and a long balcony, once it was the real residence of the patronal family and it has the best internal decorations of the whole building.
Crossing the main door, you enter a unique atmosphere typical of old times :frescos, original parquets and 4,5 meter high ceilings.
 

Entry

A bright entry overlooking from the south on the courtyard of honour and from the north on room 1, the study.
The ceiling, with indigo frescos, shows grey stuccoes and gold trim sizes.

The original parquet shows two-coloured geometric inlays representing squares in oblong trapezoidal frames. Six internet points are available for free.

The noble lounge

Once a reception room, it is the most monumental, light and airy room of the noble floor.
With its 1000 squared metres, it has four high doors-windows overlooking on Via Monte di Pietà from the north and the courtyard of honour from the south (across a long balcony).
The ceiling shows frescos of the nineteenth century with little angels and flowers, greens lacunars, gold stuccoes and grotesque decorations.
The floor, with its original parquet, shows geometric inlays representing two-coloured big rhombuses.

Cafeteria

Used as linking, passage and relax point, it shows a ceiling with frescos and browny, grey stuccoes.
The floor, with its original parquet, is made of two-coloured diagonal plankings.

Room 1

Used as a study for private treaties it overlooks on Via Monte di Pietà, it has access to the main entry and it is connected to the noble lounge.
The ceiling, with grey and ochre frescos, shows a central rose window and some angular gold stuccoes.
The floor, with its original parquet, shows geometric inlays representing two-coloured big rhombuses.

Room 2

You enter this room passing through the noble lounge or an elegant hall used as cafeteria.
The ceiling shows a groin vault framed by grey stuccoes and gold decorations.
The floor, with its original parquet, shows geometric inlays representing two-coloured three-dimensional cubes.

Room 4

First portions belonging to the area of the noble floor and once used for the private events of the patronal family, it is different from the previous one, used for representative purpose, because of its sober decorations: floor with wooden hobnailed boards and bare ceiling.
You can access from the coffee shop through a little corridor pavement of Caltagirone’s pottery tiles, endowed with toilettes.
The bright room is raised by two big windows that overlooks on the courtyard of honour, to which the room is linked by an entry in front of the main door of the building, on Francesco d’Assisi street.

Room 3

You can directly access from room 2 or from the corridor used as coffee shop, and it overlooks on Via Monte di Pietà.
The ceiling is richly painted a fresco and adorned by plasters with gold shade.
The floor is authentic parquet, with geometric inlays representing alternated squares and compass cards.

Room 5

Belonging to the area of the noble floor and once used for the private events of the patronal family, this second part shows sober decorations: floor with wooden hobnailed boards and bare ceiling.
From this room, equipped with a large glass window overlooking the courtyard of honour, you can enter an area where toilettes are located.

Room 6

Belonging to the area of the noble floor and once used for the private events of the patronal family, this part shows sober decorations: floor with wooden hobnailed boards and bare ceiling.
It has two airy windows overlooking the courtyard of honourE’ dotata di due ariose finestre che affacciano sul cortile d’onore, specular to the balcony of the lounge of honour.

Room 7

Belonging to the area of the noble floor and once used for the private events of the patronal family, this part shows sober decorations: floor with hobnailed wooden boards and bare ceiling.
It has two airy windows overlooking the courtyard of honour and it is linked to it by stairs with lift. It is characterised by an ample niche digged into the wall on the south side.

Il palazzo

Il palazzo si svela totalmente varcando l’imponente portone in legno di Via San Francesco d’Assisi 14 con un’architettura intima e sobria, cesellata dall’edera e dalla vite californiana che ne ricoprono le facciate interne, è una testimonianza di quando Torino fu città di re, duchi e marchesi.
